Keman is one of Buddhism decorations. Generally, monk decorated living flowers on an altar. The times passed, as a result of seeking immortality, it was changed from living flowers to metal decorations. In Japan, this turning point appeared around the funeral of Emperor Shomu (I mean, it was 8th century).
This Keman has Kamon (Japanese family crest or temple crest) which is called Maru-ni-Kashiwa (oak in the circle). I guess that it was old temple possession. This Keman is almost perfect condition.
Because of old item, it have some damages and stains (as following pictures). Please recognise it.
