Craftsman's Works (Buddhism sculpture) is Coming Soon
I've reached an agreement about transaction.
The Buddhism artisan: KENTARO SUZUKI

He is promising Buddhism craftsman. He was well trained as pupil under MUKOYOSHI YUBOKU who is one of the most famous Buddhism artisan, called Dai-Busshi (means great Buddhism artian).
He has many knowledge of special features about wood. I mean, he makes use of a wood's individual features such as the grain of wood. Because Japanese people love the grain of wood and pure appearance of material.
His works were paid by some temples. So we can see them at there.

He can make all kinds of Buddhism icons.
He doesn't use file or sandpaper. He uses various gravers only. All handmade, and all wood (no using a metal such as nails) . It's very sophisticated!!

above: Dainichi Nyorai test carving
below: Bishamon-ten. left half is rough carving. right half is finished (no files and no sandpaper)

To our surprise, he has abnormal power of concentration, he can make it about two weeks unless he accepts other reservations.
He is particular about "Made in Japan", and he's making it. That's why the price is not so cheap (it's keeping high quality that Buddhism temples are buying).
(Expected price is 3000 - 6000 USD on an average.)

It won't be long to sell it!! Please look forward to!!

A couple days ago, I went to private exhibition of Mikiya Yamaguchi.

He and I have reached agreement on dealing. If you have any questions, please let me know.

By the way, these pictures (two pictures below) are brand new his works.
AMIDA SANZON RAIGO.

According to Buddhism Sutra (Kammuryoju Kyo), when we died, Amida Nyorai comes for us to take us to Gokuraku Jodo.
* Gokuraku Jodo (literal translation : extremely happy pure land. It's close to Christian Heaven).

From that reason, AMIDA is believed in many people. Especially, ancient people believed that AMIDA take us to Gokuraku Jodo as riding on their clouds from far west.

AMIDA-SANZON-RAIGO were painted too much as expression of their imagination.(for example)

This time, Buddhism artisan, M. Yamaguchi has expressed AMIDA-SANZON-RAIGO as three-dimensional.
It's super sophisticated works!!

The timber is Kiso-Hinoki (Kiso Japanese cypress is the super high-rank timber).
Production period is one year.
Price : 15,900.00 USD / 12,000.00 EUR (It's a little cheap price than generally market prices.)

The picture describes extinct Japanese habit.
Though it's extinct habits, Koushin-ko was held till Edo period (till 1868) in Japan.
Koushin-ko was Japanese habit which carried out in every two months.

Ancient people believed that there is a bug called "Sanshi" inside own body.
This bug reports people's past action to the God in Koushin day's night (every two months).
That's why, people that feared God's punishment never slept all night. They used to talk or drink through the night not to let bug go to the God.

There was a habit like that till 1868 in Japan. Then people appealed to SHOMEN KONGO for mercy.

Though Japanese who knows that are reducing, it's rare Buddhism image. Because the habit itself is extinct.

This hanging scroll have some damages or stains, because it's old one. Please recognize it. This hanging scroll is handwriting.
It have historically value!!

IT'S RARE!!
Currently unavailable!
It's rarely chance to get it!!!
I think that Buddhism is a near philosophy rather than a religion.
This item is miniature art (whether you have nothing to believe in Buddhism or not).
